Near Moab, Utah, the great Colorado River gently flows beneath the smooth, glowing canyon walls.  The combination of the calm blue sky and the fire red cliffs reflects in the opal river.  Shades of crimson red, oranges, sienna, white, opal, sapphire, umber and hints of sage at the rivers edge are featured in this pallette.  Let your eyes follow the water to the shadows of the river’s bend.  This painting has noted shadows and depth.
